How did the gala evening go?
As is now tradition, the gala evening was hosted by Jiří Mádl. Last year, Jirka came up with the idea for the ‘Confessional’ app – so you could ease your conscience on the way home from the party. And watch out, someone actually created the app.

You can find the app at zpovednice.online. And not only can you confess your sins, but as an act of penance you can make a donation to one of the partner non-profit projects. So if you exceeded the speed limit on your way to the gala yesterday, you can make amends by, for example, donating to a community centre for a children’s camp. So, let he who is without sin click first, because lying is also a sin.
We also had the honour of announcing the IT and Telecommunications category, with the awards presented by our Executive Director, Pavel Houser.

We attended the awards ceremony accompanied by representatives from among our clients – two ladies joined us. Our invitation was accepted by Hanka Šrámková, Marketing Director at Lite, and Hanka Masarová, Marketing Specialist at Aquapalace.
“On behalf of the LITE language school, I would like to say that we are delighted with the award, not least because we celebrated our 20th anniversary this year. It’s brilliant,” said Ms Šrámková, thanking LITE.

Unfortunately, representatives from Vivobarefoot were unable to attend the awards ceremony, so our marketing manager Michal
accepted the award on
their behalf:
“Vivobarefoot is close to our hearts, as we have been working with them since the very beginning. I am delighted that, after all these years, we have been able to see our work pay off in this way.”

What does CEO Pavel Houser have to say about these excellent results?
“A huge thank you goes to all the AITOM team for the dedication with which they work, even when facing tight deadlines. At AITOM, we have over 20 people who manage to stay in good spirits despite seemingly impossible tasks and still find time to bring their own initiative to projects. I’m proud of us for that. All the awards are down to our team, and they deserve the applause.”
About the IEA competition
The competition is organised by Asocice.BIZ
– an association of digital development agencies. The competition has been running for 10 years
. Even a low-budget project can win; the only criterion is overall success relative to costs.
The Internet Effectiveness Awards (IEA)
has no equivalent in the Czech online sector. It is the only competition where the budget doesn’t matter
– or rather, it doesn’t matter how much you can invest. Many other competitions judge the quality of design, code cleanliness and overall perfection of execution. But polished graphics, a UX designer and top-class coders come at a price. Many small businesses or non-profit projects cannot afford them. The IEA assesses solely the ratio of the funds you invest to what you gain
. This need not be just money; you can also count conversions that do not in themselves represent a profit – such as the number of votes in a competition or an increase in engagement on Facebook.
From the category winners, the jury then selects one overall winner – this project is awarded the prestigious Grand Prix
.
