S.O.S. – DEKORACE, s.r.o. creates decorations for shopping centres, lighting, 3D decorations and much more. Take a look at a few examples of what they can do:
They therefore wanted a simple, airy website that would nevertheless highlight the artistic elements of their work. Naturally, they required a responsive design and additional language versions for their international clients.
The more languages you know, the more of a website you are?
We planned 9 language versions. For now, you can view the site in 7 languages; we’re currently preparing the other 2, and you can look forward to them after the summer holidays. Despite the website’s complexity, it runs on just one content management system: AITOM CMS 5. This makes it much easier to add new case studies and news, as well as create additional language versions.
We didn’t just think about the site administrators, but also about user convenience. The language version is automatically displayed to the user based on the language set in their browser. So even whilst on holiday by the sea, you can comfortably browse the Czech version of the site without having to switch.
From sketch to website
Development and consultation took almost a year. Just like the creative team at S.O.S. Decorations, we start with planning and sketches. We began with wireframes in July 2014.
In spring 2015, we began implementation. What does such a design look like after several months of development?
