Email marketing trends

We want to stay on trend, so we attended a training session on email marketing trends. Both experienced marketers (repetition is the mother of learning) and our consultants listened to tips on email marketing.

At the seminar, we covered all the key steps in email marketing. Creating unique content, building a loyal community, relationships and trust, and of course devising a strategy for commercial offers, testing, analysis, measurement, data collection and improvement. The individual steps towards perfect email marketing were interwoven with practical tasks, which we had a great time working on.

7 eye-catching findings from the 2015 Email Marketing Trends survey

We’re happy to share our thoughts. Read 7 interesting facts from a survey by Quanda International, in which 279 respondents took part. They answered questions regarding email communication.

  • The most common email client is Outlook, used by 38.5% of users, closely followed by Gmail, Seznam and Centrum.
  • Company owners and managers are the most likely to open emails on their mobiles.
  • As many as 75.5% of respondents prefer emails in HTML format, with images and links, whilst only 24.5% prefer plain text.
  • 99% of respondents never change their email address, or do so only very rarely.
  • As many as 74.1% of respondents expect emails they receive to contain both images and text.
  • More than 72% of recipients check their emails even at the weekend.
  • The good news is that almost 80% of respondents purchase a product via an email offer at least once a year.

How it went at Tuesday: when a business grows

Everyone had to start somewhere; speakers at the Tuesday networking event shared inspiring stories with happy endings on the theme: When a company grows: joys and challenges, and AITOM didn’t want to miss it. Speakers on stage included: Ondřej Tomáš, founder of Clever Maps; Zdeněk Cendra, founder of CDN77; and Michal Hudeček, co-founder of Ritetag.

Jakub Provazník, AITOM’s Sales Director, shared his insights from the event with us: “I liked how the owners of growing companies try to simplify everything as much as possible and focus their efforts on the customer and product development. I’d like to mention Zdeněk Cendra, founder of CDN77, who revealed how they approach planning. They plan most activities a week in advance, no further ahead, in order to maintain focus. They teach people in the company to work simply, so that everything they do fits on a single A4 sheet; nobody reads longer documents anyway.”
