How we created the new website for Balakryl

The Balakryl brand asked us to create a new website, and as always, we began with a thorough initial study. We investigate, ask questions, look for connections, analyse the competition and get to know the customer’s world.

Marketing without questions? Like a house without foundations.

The Balakryl brand asked us to create a new website, and as always, we began with a thorough initial study. We investigate, ask questions, look for connections, analyse the competition and get to know the customer’s world. Every question the client helps us answer brings us closer to our goal.

What does a family do when they discover in spring that their garden furniture is peeling?
How does the owner of a hardware store think, when local holiday home owners come to him for fence paint?
What information does a husband need when his wife has tasked him with painting the children’s swing?
And what percentage of them actually go online to look for information?

Our initial study concept clarified for the client WHY, HOW, FOR HOW MUCH, AND WITH WHAT STRATEGY they could achieve their goals with the new website. We agreed on both the Czech and Slovak versions and set about implementing them.

A sophisticated design – an investment in the brand’s image

We decided to create a unique website that would convince the end customer that picking up a Balakryl product and making the world a little bit nicer is a piece of cake. We wanted to inspire them and then guide them through the world of painting using clear information and practical tips.

We designed a simple website structure – 10 subpages and their content concept.

We started with UX design – a clean single-column wireframe (including a responsive version for mobile devices) that keeps the visitor’s attention focused on the main message. With perfect UX, you feel as though you’ve navigated the entire site effortlessly and naturally, and have chosen the brand almost without realising it. That’s exactly what we achieved brilliantly with Balakryl.

The creative minds at AITOM let their imagination run wild with the graphics – we managed to create a dynamic website with plenty of eye-catching details. A simple line of paint… The sensation of movement through the shop… Perfect photos of people engrossed in woodwork… As they browse the site, visitors feel as though they are watching brushstrokes. They scroll smoothly through the pages, discovering Balakryl’s strengths without ever getting bored or lost.

Guys, who among us speaks Polish?

A condition of our delivery for Balakryl

was close collaboration on the technical implementation with the client’s developers in Poland. They deployed our front-end solution on Kentico, whilst we took care of technical supervision and coordination of the site launch.

By the way, do you know how to say “Give it a coat of Balakryl and let’s go for a beer” in Polish?
