You can never learn enough or take in enough insights from others. That’s why I headed to the Royal Cinema, where the Christmas CopyCamp was taking place, with a theme centred on beloved projects, burlesque and Father Christmas. A total of 12 speakers took to the stage, discussing successful projects, getting started in copywriting, metaphorical comparisons of content to anything else, and approaches to creating catchy copy.
The first half of the programme
featured Tomáš Vyskočil from H1, Irena Zatloukalová from Seznam, Alena Oswaldová from Nestlé, Jakub Mařík from Boomerang Publishing and Máša Dudziaková from Lovebrand. The second part of the event
was hosted by: Lukáš Hurych from Twisto, Barbora Votavová from Bonami, the brilliant duo of Bára Pilná and Zuzka Kučerová from Zoot, and Maru Kortanová and Katka Borovanská from Freya.
All in all: the top 3 talks at the Christmas CopyCamp
The whole event had a romantic theme, so I’d like to introduce you to the three speakers I fell in love with (and who also delivered impressive results). Who caught my attention and entertained
me at CopyCamp?
I was most fascinated by Maru Kortanová’s
presentation, who wowed the audience with her witty account of preparing content for the biggest online marketing event in Central Europe, the Marketing Festival. And it’s not just website content; it includes newsletters, festival newspapers and an e-book. I also found her entrance very charming.
I was also dazzled by the presentation from the ladies at Zoot – Bára Pilná and Zuzka Kučerová
– who approach the task of creating content, newsletters and articles for their magazine with a certain human touch, ease and sincerity. Just like that.

We mustn’t forget the highlight of the first part of the programme: the talk by Máša Dudziaková from Lovebrand. She accidentally figured out how to get Facebook page fans to comment under your posts. It’s simple: make a grammatical mistake in your post and you’ll have no shortage of commenters.
A fresh dose of inspiration for content creation: delivered!
More events like this, which pump you full of new energy for your projects, inspire you and, at the same time, reassure you that other fighters for better content are tackling the same problems as you. A word of wisdom to finish? On the way back from CopyCamp, I was pondering the very name of the event, and it was crystal clear: the word ‘camp’ has its place here. I can easily plant the ideas of the speakers and presenters mentioned in your mind, where they literally camp out. Now tell me that doesn’t have depth!
