Better-looking websites
Modern websites work with up-to-date browsers; older browsers are usually only partially supported. If you have your own website, your contract will certainly have specified which browsers the site will support and to what extent.
So, if you don’t have an up-to-date browser, it’s quite possible that a particular website won’t display correctly or that some features won’t work properly.
Why are browsers updated?
Of course, they aren’t updated just to give web developers more work or for aesthetic reasons. Browsers are, in fact, a frequent target for hackers. Through them, hackers can damage not only the website but also the user’s computer. Have you ever had your browser warn you about a website?
You probably left the site. Perhaps your browser saved you from hackers. Thanks to regular updates, it can continue to protect you.
Modern browsers update automatically or always notify you of a new version. Of course, the final decision rests with the user, so it is possible to disable automatic updates. However, this exposes the user to unnecessary risk.
Most users who do not update their browsers argue that every now and then the icon or layout of elements they are used to changes. However, these changes are usually minimal. Browser developers try to keep radical changes to a minimum. Although, of course, they do introduce changes that, according to user feedback or user testing, are more intuitive. Believe us, it is much better for you and your computer to get used to new buttons than to expose yourself to unnecessary security risks.
