The Prague City Museum manages a number of prestigious venues where it organises workshops, guided tours, exhibitions and permanent displays. These include the main building in Florenc, which houses the unique Langweil model of Prague, the Powder Tower, the Müller and Rothmayer villas, the Podskalská Customs House, the Desfour Palace and others.
As with any website, we began with a detailed initial study. We analysed the original site and its traffic, set the marketing objectives for the new site and designed its structure accordingly.
As part of the initial analysis, we defined three objectives together with the client:
-
to present all the buildings in a representative and modern way
-
to encourage users to attend events held at these venues
-
to enable easy ticket booking
Finally, we also created a graphic design in line with the institution’s visual identity.

The new website is linked to the ticketing system; in collaboration with an external supplier, we are currently preparing to integrate it with the booking system for schools.
We have simplified navigation on the website and the options for filtering exhibitions and other events according to user preferences.
Technically, the website is built so that the client can manage it themselves using an intuitive admin panel, thereby saving their staff time and avoiding potential additional costs in the future.
