The WebTop100 competition, together with the Internet Effectiveness Awards, is the most important recognition of our year-round work, and I am delighted that AITOM has won so many prestigious awards in both of these industry competitions this year. This year is thus, in many respects, the most successful period in the entire history of our agency. A few years ago, we set out on our own path to approaching internet projects, focusing intently on the ideal combination of design, technical solutions and effectiveness. “I am glad that the results of our solutions clearly demonstrate that this path is the right one, and I dare say that for the future of successful e-commerce projects, it is the only possible one. The greatest thanks for all this year’s awards go above all to our entire team, thanks to whom AITOM is one of the best Czech digital agencies,” says Pavel Houser, CEO of AITOM.

How the judges rated the projects:

UX of the Year for Hako-Mzdy.cz

UX, or user experience, refers to how usable and user-friendly a website is in practice. Good UX makes it easier for customers to make a purchase or submit an enquiry. For us, this award means that we know how to design a website for users, not just a visually appealing presentation. Special thanks go to our UX designer – Petr, who designed the website.

The judges particularly praised the navigation and how easy it is for users to find their way around.

  • The navigation is clean and clear, with a strong contrast between white/grey and black throughout the site. The style is complemented by red and a subtle blue as an accent colour – this, in turn, creates a clear and trustworthy impression.“ – Jakub Jordanidis
  • The site presents Hako brilliantly and showcases its services. Right from the homepage, following a brief introduction, the content is correctly prioritised according to target groups. Jan Mikulášek

The best agency website is Aitom.cz

Last year, our own website came in 3rd place. We’re making sure the cobbler’s children aren’t left without shoes; we’ve been working hard on the site and this year we’re taking home the gold.

The judges awarded full marks for the UX, content and technical aspects of the website.

  • „Above all, the website is very user-friendly. The text is concise, the photographs and images are expressive, and the internal linking is particularly excellent, as it is not restrictive.“ – Marek Hlavica
  • “A very original website concept that has been working for several years and remains timeless. The striking green colour complements the brand, and combined with brown, I rank AITOM among the most memorable agencies.” – Jakub Jordanidis
  • „The website is technically superb and I award it full marks. I would highlight the use of PublicKey-Pins, which is quite unique.“ – Martin Mayer

AITOM dominated the microsite category

Microsites are traditionally a highly competitive category. This makes it all the more of a compliment that we secured 1st place for VstupniStudie.cz
and 2nd place for the MojeEqua.cz
site for our eco-bottle e-shop Labeloo.cz

Review of VstupniStudie.cz:

  • Very nicely and cleanly designed. I’ve explained a similar process several times myself and would happily use a website like this myself. – Jan Klusáček
  • A website very well structured in terms of information. I understand the service it offers and I think it can spark interest. – Ondřej Michálek

Review by MojeEqua.cz:

  • „A really well-made site that fulfils exactly the purpose it is intended for. I really appreciate the loading speed; it’s definitely a big plus.“ – Ondřej Michálek
  • „A beautifully crafted microsite with perfectly designed dynamic elements; the user flow through the site is probably the best of any microsite I’ve seen.“ – Jan Klusáček

Other successful projects

PivovarSvijany.cz – 2nd place in the Corporate Website/Gastronomy category

  • A very pleasant first impression upon opening the site. I can sense the tradition and quality of beer production from the website. The presentation of the beer itself looks great – this is mainly down to the high-quality source material and photographs, together with the collages created, which enhance the overall experience.“ – Jakub Jordanidis
  • From a technical point of view, the website is very well done. I was pleased to see that it runs exclusively on the secure HTTPS protocol, which is also very well configured. The website also adapts well to mobile devices and their small screens. Furthermore, it loads reasonably quickly, so thanks to all these features, I am awarding the full number of points – congratulations.“ – Michal Špaček

Atrium.cz – 2nd place in the Corporate Website/B2C Trade and Services category

  • The Atrium.cz website feels very robust yet clear and well-organised. When someone is buying a house, they need a lot of information and are willing to spend time on it. The website offers plenty of content for this purpose, which is well-structured and understandable even to a layperson.“ – Petr Michal
  • The website looks good even in its responsive versions. The font is well chosen and legible. The use of original photographs and visualisations of the houses is a major plus.“ – Martin Tellinger

PojdmeTestovat.cz with AITOM – 2nd place in the E-mailing category

  • A huge amount of effort has gone into creating content with very high-quality graphic design.“ – Vladan Hejnic
  • The interesting use of a high-quality foreign ESP (which is not widely used in the Czech Republic) combined with a responsive and clean layout shows that it is possible not only to find but also to implement a solution that surpasses in quality those offered by international entities or better-known names among digital agencies operating in the Czech Republic.“ – Martin Halama

About the WebTop100 competition

WebTop100 is the largest Czech competition for digital projects. A panel of experts evaluates the four cornerstones of every website
: user experience, graphics, technical solution and content. All medal-winning projects received full marks for their technical solution
. We performed above average in all other categories.

The awards ceremony is preceded by a conference
featuring case studies of the most successful Czech projects, as well as trends and innovations. For the third year running, we had the honour of speaking at the conference. Last year, Daniel Musil gave a presentation on a case study
and the reasons why it makes sense to test email campaigns.
