Did you know that 67% of employees would rather receive praise than a financial reward? Why not give them that praise? However, many managers aren’t involved in day-to-day operations, so if you’re one of them, you may have a rather distorted view of who actually deserves praise. The new Staffino app offers a solution to ensure fairness.
In any business, customer satisfaction is essential for success. In the coming weeks, we’ll be launching Staffino at AITOM too, so you can tell us how you find working with individual team members. We chose Staffino because of its strong track record in Slovakia and the positive feedback from Czech companies that are starting to use the app.
I WANT TO KNOW MORE ABOUT THE APP
Let your customers rate your staff
The app allows customers to rate service in real time
; their comments are immediately displayed directly to the owner or relevant manager, who can respond to them straight away. Customers can not only rate the attitude of a specific employee, but they can also alert you to shortcomings directly at the premises, suggest improvements, or simply comment on the services in any way they wish.
Users must register for the app, meaning that every review, unlike those on social media where this is not always the case, comes from a real person
. The app was developed in Slovakia and is very popular. In 2014, it won the StartupAwards.SK
competition. Here, the app has already been featured on television:
What results has Staffino achieved in Slovakia:
- around 350 pieces of feedback are received daily, of which around 70% are positive
- around 12,000 users on the website (January 2016)
- more than 2,000 companies use the app

How can customer reviews impact a business?
- Companies that regularly show appreciation achieve 14% higher labour productivity
- Companies with a rewards and recognition system have 23% lower staff turnover
- Employees who receive praise experience less frustration
- 70% of people will shop again at a place where they were dissatisfied, provided their complaint was resolved and taken seriously
- 55% of customers are happy to pay extra for good service and customer care
- The app can replace expensive and ineffective questionnaires
Who is already using the app in the Czech Republic?
According to companies already using the app, positive reviews outweigh negative ones. How satisfied are they with the app?

“For us, Staffino is a tool for direct communication with our customers. Here, they can tell us what they like and dislike, what they feel is missing, and thus provide us with objective feedback. These are insights we wouldn’t discover from behind a desk in the office, or which we might perceive in a distorted way.” Helena Mertová
- Ostrovní Restaurant in Prague
“The first day we launched Staffino, it was funny serving the guests. They were sitting at the table with their phones, and all I could see on the screens was Staffino, so I thought to myself: ‘Wow, that’s caught on very quickly’. Then I kept an eye on the reviews, and most people were trying it out more out of curiosity; they wanted to see what it was actually like.” Tomáš Rosputniak
- Cafe Louvre
“Money as a reward works, but not always. One of the motivations is to talk to the ‘praised’ person about how much we value them and count on them for the future, and to present the recognition in front of their colleagues. It sounds like a cliché, but it works.” René Smelík
