This year’s WebTop100 awards ceremony was held under the theme of ‘reaching for the stars’, so there was no shortage of lightsabres, moon landings or encounters with aliens. We, too, have soared to greater heights of success, winning a total of three prestigious medals this year – one more than last year.
How did our projects fare?
Corporate Website/Gastronomy category:
The website www.orioncokolada.cz took a fantastic 2nd place. The victory in this category was the closest. No, there’s no mistake on the podium. The websites of Orion and Bistrotéka La Bottega tied for second place with the same number of points.
Corporate Website/B2C Trade and Services Category:
AITOM literally dominated the B2C Trade and Services category. We took second place with the website www.aktivni-vinne-sklepy.cz, whilst third place went to the interior design studio’s website www.sedlakinterier.cz. Much like in the Email Campaign category, Globus snatched victory from under our noses.
How does judge Jiří Tvrdek rate the Active Wine Cellars project? “At first glance, a very interesting presentation that directly invites deeper exploration. The opening logo and choice of photograph are very tasteful. The geometric character of the body text pleasantly balances the ornateness of the logotype.”
Judge Jan Klesla’s assessment of the Sedlák Interiér website: “The range of luxury furniture is aimed at a specific clientele, and the colours used and the overall look also seek to convey a sense of luxury. The introduction of the team and their depiction in the illustrative photographs is appealing, as is the subtle and unobtrusive emphasis on the company’s tradition. The mobile version of the website is also good.”
Five fundamental building blocks of the website were assessed:
- User Experience – primarily assessing usability and clarity
- Graphics
- Technical solution
- Mobile optimisation
- Content
Thank you all for your support. We congratulate the other winners and look forward to seeing what projects we’ll be competing against next year. You can find the full results for all categories here.
The Best of Digital Marketing in 2015
The awards ceremony was preceded by the conference ‘The Best of Czech Digital’. This year, we also did our bit. Jakub prepared a talk on how to approach a redesign. The talk was a well-deserved success, and several conference attendees came to chat with us about redesign after the session.
If you didn’t hear the talk, you can at least take a look at the presentation.

Voxx microsite
„The website is visually appealing and well-organised at first glance. I can find basic information about production, materials, and even the fact that each sock is suited to a different purpose and designed for a specific function. I commend the consistently visible CTA for navigating to the e-shop.“ Tomáš Kleňha
-
Brandmicrosite microsite
„Technically flawless craftsmanship. Quite nice animations – there could easily be more of them; the microsite certainly deserves it. The responsive design is well executed and the data optimisations make sense too. Nothing to fault.“ Tomáš Kleňha
-
Bonus Alert mobile app
„A very appealing concept – congratulations! Fandor will certainly be happy to promote the app at www.skrblik.cz. In terms of design, it’s a decent standard with clear navigation.“ Vítězslav Válka
„For me, this app is finally something technically unique – automatic notifications about nearby offers are in line with the trend for context-aware apps.“ Petr Dvořák
-
Amista website
„The website of the investment company Amista is simple, clear and certainly comes across as trustworthy to those interested in investing in funds. The website’s structure is well-designed, as is the content, which provides a detailed overview of the company’s field of activity as well as the sector itself.“ Michal Acler

SOS Dekorace website
„I like that the website is responsive and adapts to smaller mobile devices. I also appreciate the use of security headers, which protect website visitors from potential attacks. I’m giving the website full marks – congratulations!“ Jiří Knesl
