If you’ve been following events in the Chamber of Deputies, you’ll know what we’re talking about. On 25 May, the Senate will debate the Gambling Act, which will lead to internet censorship and higher costs. The law will allow officials to ‘ban’ websites offering unauthorised gambling.

Why won’t the bill change anything?
Above all, we believe that the bill will change absolutely nothing. It will not prevent gambling and will simply place a burden on internet service providers in the Czech Republic. You can already find guides online on how to access banned URLs
.
It takes just 2 minutes and 45 seconds to connect to the internet without censorship. How long will it take the senators to reject the bill?https://t.co/vIFhhEz8yj

Not to mention that foreign websites cannot be blocked. If anyone really wants to bet online, they can connect to Slovak or other foreign websites.
Fear of the end of internet freedom. Or how I wrote to my senator for the first time. https://t.co/sTEKh1ekqy pic.twitter.com/Q9wosAsMVY

That is why we have joined the initiative launched by other IT companies, “The Censor is Coming”
. You can read the full text of the bill
and the press statement from the domain registrar NIC.CZ at www.prichazicenzor.cz

We believe that the road to hell is paved with good intentions. Don’t let anyone censor the internet!
